Copiah-Lincoln Community College sophomore Alexandria “Allie” Wall of Brookhaven has won the only two-year college scholarship awarded by the national mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta. Wall beat out every other community college nominee from across the nation to win the $4,000 scholarship to use at the university of her choosing.
“Allie Wall leads Mu Alpha Theta with unwavering dedication, setting a high standard through her reliability and tireless work ethic,” said Eddie Britt, chapter advisor and mathematics/computer science division chair. “Her leadership ensures that every officer stays on track, meeting deadlines with confidence and purpose. With Allie at the helm, excellence isn’t just expected, it’s achieved.”
In addition to serving as President of Co-Lin’s Mu Alpha Theta chapter, Wall is Vice President of Communications for Phi Theta Kappa, secretary for Sigma Kappa Delta and Future Business Leaders of America, Vice President of Communications for Co-Lin C.A.R.E.S and is a representative for Student Government Association. She is a member of the Trailblazers and serves as a tutor in the Writing Center. A member of the Blue Wave Show Band, Wall serves as percussion section leader. Additionally, she was inducted into Co-Lin’s Honors College and serves on the Trillium yearbook staff and Wolf Tales student newspaper staff.
Following her graduation from Co-Lin in May, she plans to attend Mississippi State University to major in political science with a minor in Spanish.
