Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Natchez Campus inducted three outstanding students to the college’s Hall of Fame during the annual awards day program. The Hall of Fame is the most prestigious award given to a student and is voted on by students, faculty, and staff members. Only college sophomores are eligible for the honor and basis for selection includes fineness of character, superior scholarship, worthy leadership, and contribution to the betterment of Copiah-Lincoln. Dottie Davenport of Natchez, Domonique Doss of Natchez, and Angelica King of Washington were selected as this year’s inductees.
Davenport is a member of the Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and was selected to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She is a pre-nursing major. During her time at Co-Lin, she has earned a place on the President’s List. In addition to Hall of Fame induction, she was also honored during awards day as the outstanding student in biology.
Doss is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Beta Club. She was inducted into the Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Doss has maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned a place on the Presidents’ List. She was selected to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Doss is a student in the Natchez Early College Academy.
King is a member of the Trailblazers and Student Government Association. She was named to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and is on the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA. King serves as President of the Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and was awarded the Phi Theta Kappa Golden Key award. She was named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-Mississippi Academic First Team. Additionally, King earned national recognition by being named a Coca-Cola Gold Scholar, one of only 50 students nationwide. She is a student in the Natchez Early College Academy where she serves as President of the NECA Student Government Association. In addition to Hall of Fame induction, King was honored as the outstanding student in biology, mathematics, and English during awards day.
