Co-Lin launches new alumni chapter for Natchez area graduates
Published: February 19, 2025

The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Alumni Association is proud to announce the formation of a new alumni chapter, specifically for Natchez area graduates. For over 50 years, Co-Lin has had a campus in Natchez to help serve the local community. This new chapter aims to strengthen the connection between the college and its local alumni.

Open to all alumni from any Co-Lin campus who currently reside in or around Adams County, the Natchez Area Alumni Chapter seeks to support the local campus by enhancing community visibility and assisting with key events, including the annual Natchez Golf Classic.

“No one can tell Co-Lin’s story better than the people who have been impacted by Co-Lin, whether that is in Natchez, Wesson, or Simpson County,” said Julia Miller, alumni relations coordinator. “We are excited to launch these new alumni chapters as part of our ongoing effort to engage with Co-Lin’s alumni.”

The chapter will play a pivotal role in representing Co-Lin at various events throughout Natchez and will assist with the Co-Lin Foundation’s annual Golf Classic held each April at Beau Pré Country Club. Proceeds from this event directly benefit the Natchez campus, supporting student programs and campus initiatives.

Membership dues for the chapter are $10 per year, offering an affordable way for alumni to stay connected and make a difference.

Interested alumni are invited to attend an inaugural social event on Thursday, February 27, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Nelson Multi-Purpose Room in the Redd-Watkins Vocational Center on Co-Lin’s Natchez campus. This event will provide an opportunity to meet fellow alumni, learn more about the chapter’s goals, and discover how to get involved.
