- 1. Accounting (B.S.) preparatory- a curriculum designed to parallel the first two years of
a bachelor's degree program.
- 2. Business Administration - a program which parallels the first two years necessary to
pursue a bachelor's degree in:
General Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, etc. at a senior
college or university.

In keeping with institutional
objectives, the Business Division strives: |
|
(1)To offer the
first two years of academic parallel courses and curricula of a four year bachelor's
degree program for students who plan to transfer to a senior institution. |
- (2)To offer opportunities for educational, economic and
cultural development of citizens within the service area through personnel,
facilities and resources of the college.

(3)To provide
guidance, counseling and other student services to assist students to meet their needs. |
|
(4)To provide
educational opportunities for students to learn the necessary skills required to pursue
successful business careers. |
- (5)To actively encourage students to prepare for and
participate in business related extracurricular competitions, such as Phi Beta
Lambda, at the local, state, and national level against other students from other
community colleges and four year universities.

- Since 1977, Co-Lin Business students have won 341 state
competitions awards, along with 85 national awards. Co-lin's Phi Beta Lambda Chapter has
won Mississippi's "Most outstanding chapter" wards in twelve of the last
twenty years! Phi Beta Lambda is a national organization for business and business
related majors (over 700 chapters in all 50 states). The Annual PBL State Leadership
Conference features students representing more than forty active chapter of two and four
year colleges and universities. Each year as many as a dozen Co-Lin business students ear
the right to compete in the PBL National Leadership Conference in places like Washington
D.C., Chicago and Los Angeles.
