Simpson County Center inducts two into 2022 Hall of Fame

Copiah-Lincoln Community College's Simpson County Center named two outstanding sophomores to the prestigious 2021-2022 Hall of Fame during the annual awards day ceremony. This is the highest honor bestowed on a student by the college. Inducted were Hattie Grace Ashmore (left) and Gretta Graves (right), both of Magee, pictured with Co-Lin President Dr. Jane Hulon Sims.

Hattie Grace Ashmore serves as President of the Beta Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Secretary/Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and was voted Miss Co-Lin. She is a member of the Trailblazers, Phi Beta Lambda, Alpha Omega Bible Club, and was a freshman homecoming maid. Ashmore was crowned Co-Lin’s 2021 Most Beautiful and selected to Who’s Who at Co-Lin and the PTK All-Mississippi Academic Team. She is the daughter of Chad and Kristy Ashmore.

Gretta Graves is a member of the Alpha Omega Bible Club and the Beta Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. She is the recipient of the Public Speaking Award and the Phi Theta Kappa Mississippi/Louisiana Regional Distinguished Member Hallmark Award. Graves also received the Phi Theta Kappa International Distinguished Chapter Member Award and was selected as a William Winter Scholar. She is the daughter of Toby and Kathy Graves.
