Co-Lin updates safety plan for fall

As the beginning of a new academic year approaches, Copiah-Lincoln Community College has announced updates for returning to full campus operations this fall. Beginning Monday, August 9, Co-Lin will require masks for all indoor activities and in all indoor public locations on all three campuses. An exception will be in private offices.

This decision is consistent with federal public health guidance, as MSDH directs that a mask or face covering be worn indoors for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, to mitigate the risk of infection of COVID-19.

Co-Lin will regularly reevaluate the need to continue the mask requirement in accordance with federal and state health guidelines. The college believes that this will enable us to safeguard activities like college activities, student events, and other normal parts of college life.

The most effective way to keep the number of COVID cases low in our community is by receiving a voluntary COVID vaccination. We strongly encourage all members of our college community to take part in the many free vaccination opportunities available.

All college updates will be made available through email, social media, and on our website at www.colin.edu.
