Co-Lin business and marketing management program moves to HyFlex format

Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Business and Marketing Management program will move to a HyFlex instructional format beginning in January 2022. HyFlex combines the terms “hybrid” and “flexible,” meaning students can choose how they attend classes each week. In this new format, students in the Business and Marketing Management program can choose to participate in class each week in one of three ways: participate in face-to-face classes in person on the Co-Lin Natchez campus, participate in face-to-face class via video conference (Zoom), or participate fully online through Canvas. All students will achieve the same learning objectives no matter which format they choose.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Business and Marketing Management program,” said Dean of Career, Technical, and Workforce Education Brent Duguid. “For the first time, students will be given flexible options to attend classes in the way that fits their schedule best each week. We understand that circumstances are constantly changing, and we believe this is the right move as we work to meet students where they are.”

The transition to a HyFlex format means students from outside the Natchez area can now be a part of the program from wherever they are located, as they can attend fully online or attend face-to-face class sessions via Zoom.
