Financial Aid & Scholarships
Federal School Code for Copiah-Lincoln Community College (002402)
The Financial Aid Office at Copiah-Lincoln Community College administers a variety of programs designed to assist students and their families in meeting the cost of attending Co-Lin. Financial aid is divided into four major categories: scholarships, grants, part-time employment, and loans.
Scholarships are gift programs that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships are typically awarded for academic achievement, athletics, and participation in certain activities.
Grants are gift aids that do not have to be repaid. Grants usually require a demonstration of financial need. Some grants require academic promise as well as financial need.
Part-time employment on campus provides opportunities for students to earn money to apply toward their educational expenses.
Loans are funds that have to be repaid with interest.
The availability of funds is a very important factor relative to the total number of students who receive financial aid. Students must be accepted for admission and currently enrolled in order to receive financial aid. Financial aid is awarded in various amounts for one academic term at a time. Most financial aid is not automatically renewable. All recipients of financial aid must reapply annually.
Students can begin using financial aid for purchases in the Co-Lin Bookstore on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Remember to complete the registration process by moving your enrollment status from preregistered to registered before attempting to make purchases using financial aid and scholarships.
