Allen Kent begins his sixth year as head coach of the Co-Lin Lady Wolves softball team. In his first five seasons, Coach Kent has directed the Lady Wolves to a 113-33 record and a Top 10 ranking in the NJCAA polls.

He has led the Lady Wolves to the state and regional tournaments in each of his four years, twice winning the South Division. In 2006, the Lady Wolves won the MACJC State Tournament and the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. Co-Lin made their first-ever appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament where they finished third in the nation. Kent was named MACJC Coach of the Year, NJCAA Region 23 Coach of the Year and Mississippi Association of Coaches Coach of the Year in 2006.

He has served as a softball, baseball, and football official at various levels during the past 15 years.

In addition to coaching softball, Kent also serves as the Director of Activities and Assistant Dean of Student Services. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Copiah-Lincoln Foundation and Director of Alumni Affairs (1998-2002).

A graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Kent received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. While at Co-Lin, he was a two-year starter for the Co-Lin baseball team. He is also a 1998 graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at the University of Mississippi.

Kent is a member of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Foundation Board. He also serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He and his wife, the former Wanda Gayle Agnor, are the proud parents of one son, Colby, 14 and are in the process of adopting and baby girl from China.
