Holli Smith inks with Co-Lin Softball West Lincoln standout Holli Smith has signed a National Letter of Intent Scholarship to play softball at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, announced Head Coach Allen Kent. “We are excited to have Holli join our program. She is a solid all-around player. She has a very good glove, can play several positions, and has a strong, accurate arm. Holli also swings the bat well, and is more than just a singles hitter.” “Playing summer travel ball has really helped her. Even though she’s been a starter at West Lincoln for as long as I can remember, the extra experience in the summer against tougher competition every game has only further sharpened her skills.” “We are losing a good portion of our infield after this season, so it will be a good opportunity for Holli to come in and make immediate contributions. We anticipate working her at third a good bit, though she has experience at second, short, and catcher. Being versatile like that only makes her more valuable to us.”
