Co-Lin Lands San Antonio Hurler Rebecca Rousseau

Copiah-Lincoln Community College Head Softball Coach Allen Kent announces the signing of Rebecca Rousseau of Taft High School in San Antonio, Texas.

In 2006, as a junior pitcher, Rousseau lead her team to a top 5 finish in the Texas 5A State Playoffs.  The right hander boasted a 21-6 record, with an ERA of 1.21, recording 121 strikeouts in 172 innings pitched, in one of the top divisions in the entire state.  She also hit for a .355 average, earning first team All District honors in 27-5A.  Rousseau was also named MVP in the Northside Softball Tournament in 2005 and 2006.

We are very excited to have a player of Rebecca’s caliber join us.  She is a hard thrower with good movement and a great mound presence.  She also swings the bat extremely well and has above-average speed.  Rebecca is very athletic and can play 3^rd base and the outfield, so she will be a position player for us when she’s not in the circle.  We expect her to be an immediate impact player in our league.
