Louisiana catcher
WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College head softball coach
Allen Kent announced the signing of Grace King High School (LA)
catcher Missy Paulina of LaPlace, La., for the 2008 season.
“We are pleased to add Missy to our roster for next year,” said
Kent. “She is an experienced catcher with great hands and a
strong arm. She will be a defensive asset to our pitching
staff.”
Paulina hit .447 including 15 doubles, 6 triples, 3 home runs
and 31 RBIs in 122 plate appearances.
Paulina joins 2008 signees Becca Boone of Copiah Academy,
Candace Avants, Chelsey Miller and Devon Welch, all of Bogue
Chitto High School.
The Lady Wolves set a school record for wins in 2006 with a 39-9
mark. They are the reigning Mississippi Association of Community
and Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Champions and the National
Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Champions.
They advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament in Normal, IL,
where they finished third. Co-Lin has ranked in the top 10 in
the NJCAA polls each of the last four years.
