Kimberly Bridges signs pact with Co-Lin Softball

Kimberly Bridges signs pact with Co-Lin SoftballCopiah-Lincoln Community College Head Softball Coach Allen Kent announces the signing of Copiah Academy standout Kimberly Bridges.

“We are excited about having Kimberly join our program.  She is a well-rounded athlete who can play several positions.  She has good instincts and doesn’t mind getting down and dirty.  Kimberly is effective from both sides of the plate with good speed.  She also has pitching experience, which is always a plus.”

“She has been a big part of Copiah’s success over the years and I know Coach Bauer hates to see her go.  Terry does a great job with his girls and has a really good thing going at Copiah Academy.  Kimberly has also benefitted from many years of playing summer travel ball.  This has only helped develop her into a better player.”

“We look forward to getting her stronger and hopefully keeping her healthy.  She has had her share of battles with the injury bug over the last few seasons that hampered her play at times.”

Kimberly’s older sister, Brandi was a key member of Co-Lin’s 2005 squad.

Kent is in his 6th year as Head Coach of the Lady Wolves.  His overall record is 119-33.  This year’s Co-Lin squad entered the pre-season NJCAA polls being ranked 15th nationally.
