Lady Wolves win regional championship
The Co-Lin Lady Wolves defeated the Hinds Community College Lady Eagles 3-1
in the finals of the NJCAA Region 23 Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament at
Traceway Park in Clinton, MS. The Lady Wolves will make their second trip to
the NJCAA National Championship Tournament in Normal, Ill., in three years.
Co-Lin finished third in the National
Tournament in 2006.

Co-Lin's Lady
Wolves captured the MACJC State Softball Tournament Championship
beating the Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs 1-0. Members of the Lady
Wolves are Ashley Jones of Monticello, Alex Foster of Natchez,
Chelsey Miller, Meleah Brown, Candace Avants and Devon Welch,
all of Bogue Chitto; Rebecca Rousseau of Shreveport, La.; Emily
Langley and Amber Bowman, both of Wesson; Kayla Crochet and
Becca Bailey, both of Baton Rouge, La.; Missy Paulina of LaPlace,
La.; Ashley Sykes of Brookhaven, Brittany Watts of Magee, and Becca Boone of Crystal
Springs. The lady Wolves are coached by Allen Kent assisted by
Johnny Williams and Duane Burt.
