Glenn Davis
Head Football Coach

Glenn Davis begins his third year as head coach for the Wolves. Davis previously served at Co-Lin as offensive coordinator from 1995-96. During his two years at Co-Lin, he helped lead the team to a 15-5 overall record.

Davis is a 1982 graduate of Delta State University where he was a three-year letterman as a defensive back and outside linebacker for the Statesmen. His other coaching stints include offensive coordinator at South Natchez High School (1982-85), graduate assistant at Mississippi State (1986-87), defensive backs and wide receivers coach at the University of North Alabama (1988-91), and quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers coach at Holmes Community College (1992-94). From 1997-2003 he served as running backs coach at Mississippi State under former head coach Jackie Sherrill.

Under Davis’ tutelage, the Bulldogs lead the Southeastern Conference in rushing in 2000 averaging 193.8 yards per game and ranked third in 1998 averaging 172 yards per game. He mentored Dicenzo Miller to Mississippi State’s sixth-ever, 1,000-yard season in 2000 (1,005 yards) and James Johnson to the fourth and fifth-ever, 1,000-yard campaigns in 1997 (1,069 yards) and 1998 (1,383 yards).

He and his wife Minta, are the parents of two children, Ann Shelby and Micah.

 

Calvin M. Green
Assistant Football Coach

Calvin M. Green enters his 13th year on the Co-Lin football staff. Green coaches the defense, specializing with the secondary players. Several of the players he’s coached have gone on to become NJCAA All-Americans, as well as NCAA Division I signees.

Prior to coming to Co-Lin in January of 1994, Green served as assistant defensive back coach at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, under the former Mississippi State All-American and National League standout Tom Goode. Green also served as an assistant at Lawrence County High School.

Green graduated from Monticello High School where he was a three-year letterman at defensive back. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Junior College as a member of Coach Ray Ishee’s 1985 State Champion and East Bowl Champion teams. In 1986, Green was chosen the MACJC Most Valuable Defensive Back. He also received All-Region XXIII and All-State honors at defensive back and was selected to play in the MACJC All-Star game.

He earned as B.S. degree in recreation from Alcorn State University. During his football career at Alcorn, Green earned lettermen honors and in 1988 was a member of the “Nation’s Best Secondary.”

Green is married to the former Falana Armstrong. They are the parents of two children, Farrod, 9, and Sabaric 6.

 

Carson Jeffers
Assistant Football Coach

Carson Jeffers begins his second year as offensive line coach of the Wolves.

Jeffers received a bachelor's degree in education from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia. During his football career, he was selected All-Conference and was s Dean's List student. He received his master's degree in education from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Prior to coming to Co-Lin, he held coaching positions at Bluefield High School (WV), Concord College, Cumberland University, University of the South (Sewanee, TN), and the University of Charleston in Charleston (WV).

He is married to the former Lauren Newton of Ripley, WV.

 

Brett Shufelt
Assistant Football Coach

Brett Shufelt begins his third year as assistant football coach for the Wolfpack. A graduate of Western New Mexico University, Shufelt received a B.S. degree in movement science. He earned a master's degree in educational administration and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Mississippi State University.

Shufelt served as a graduate assistant New Mexico State University (1994-1995) and Mississippi State University (1995-1997). He served as defensive coordinator/linebacker coach at Western New Mexico University from 1992-1994. His other coaching stints include Silver City (NM) High School, Amphitheater (AZ) High School, and Sabino (AZ) High School.

Shufelt is married to the former Tracy Britt of Wesson (Co-Lin Class of 1989) and owner of Salon 51 in Wesson. They have one daughter, Mimi, 8.

 

Terrell Grindle
Volunteer Football Coach

Terrell Grindle begins his first year as a volunteer coach for wide receivers.

Grindle received a bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State University. A standout receiver for the Bulldogs, Grindle played 45 career games including the 1999 Peach Bowl and the 2000 Independence Bowl. He holds the Bulldog record for longest pass play in MSU history (91 yards). He ranks number four on the Bulldogs all-time pass receptions list with 119.

Grindle worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Giants fo the National Football League.

He is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School where he was named First Team All-State and selected to play in the Mississippi-Alabama High School All-Star Game. He set a school record with a 99-yard touch-down reception his senior season.

 

Brian Hayes
Volunteer Football Coach

Brian Hayes begins his second year as a volunteer assistant coach assisting with the quarter backs. A graduate of Magee (Miss.) High School, Hayes played quarterback for the Wolfpack for one year. A physical education major, he currently attends Mississippi College.

 

Dicenzo Miller
Volunteer Football Coach

Dicenzo Miller begins his second year as a volunteer coach for the Wolfpack. He is responsible for coaching the running backs and is the dorm and camp director.

Miller received a bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State University. While at MSU, he has an outstanding football career. He was named to the SEC's All-Freshman First Team (1998). In 2000, Miller was named Second Team All-SEC and nominated for the Conerly Award. He was nominated for the 2001 Doak Walker Award as the best running
back in the nation.

He was a member of the Bulldogs when they were they 1998 Southeastern Conference West Champions, 1999 Peach Bowl Champions and Independence Bowl Champions.

Miller was nominated to play in the East-West Shrine Game and has worked out for the Tennessee Titans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League.

A graduate of Weir High School, Miller played tailback and safety for three state championship teams. He holds the high school record for most touchdowns in a season (4) and career touchdowns (118). Miller was named the Touchdown Club and Clarion-Ledger Player of the Year in 1997. He was selected First Team All-State and First Team All-American in 1997 and was First Team All-State his junior season.

He is employed by the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center in Brookhaven.
