Welcome
to my website. I have been painting since August 2006. I'll be posting paintings here as I paint them or as they
progress.
I welcome any comments.
Use the quick links on the left to view paintings or scroll down and read my blog.
I'm learning watercolors now. I
started using them in June 2008.

Connie's Challenge:
A lot
of people talk about my “Conniefied” paintings.
I dare you to make a Conniefied painting this week.
In my book a Conniefied painting has:
1 a good composition
2.a tight crop (zoomed in on the subject)
3 bold (not necessarily realistic) colours
4 great light/ dark contrast.
5 high impact

Dewi from Wetcanvas |
11x14
Acrylic on canvas boardNovember 25, 2007.
From Dewi:
"Now for the challenge, how about paint/draw/sketch
from this rather poor photo and make it nice
(for WDE only)
This photo was taken by the late Mr. Rd. Basuki Abdullah a long time
ago, since I do not have a scanner, I used camera to make this photo.
He was an Indonesian famous artist; he had live in Bangkok for many
years and had painted the Royal Family portraits.
Once he shown me a photo from his painting of Queen Sirikit (Thailand
present Queen) and it was eleven meters high about thirty six feet.
After about a decade, we met again and he had asked me to sit for him.
After one sitting, unfortunately he has to move back to Indonesia and
finally tragic came to his life, a robbers who wants to steal his watch
collections
in his private home murdered him.
I feel sorry for him, no article in the net about his life and
paintings/collection, except belong to the late President Soekarno of
Indonesia."

beautiful sparkling cover of frost with deer in the next campsite. (just
not enough room to show you everything, darn!)"

Snake from Wetcanvas |

Acrylic on canvas board |
October 30, 2007.
WDE from Valri
SNAKE!
Yup, that’s his name. Well, his real name is Edison but no one and I
mean no one calls him that. He is an amazing surfer and is considered
the king daddy (grand-daddy) of the Bathsheba area. He has a sad story
too. He caretakes a big home across the street from my sisters and lives
in a shack out back. I think he has running water but still would come
over often to get ice cubes. What’s with the ice?? He left all his
friends and family for a woman in Switzerland and that turned out to be
a bad deal for him (she was a big big drinker) he moved back to B’dos
but by then had lost his home and job. So sad.

down to visit this weekend. This could not have come at a better time.
