Career and technical education (CTE) prepares students for a wide range of careers resulting in program certifications, certificates, or associate of applied science degrees in one of 26 programs. These careers may require varying levels of education which fosters productivity in business an industry and contributes to Mississippi’s competiveness in the national and international marketplace. Career and technical education offers individuals lifelong opportunities to learn new skills, which provide them with career choices and to become productive citizens in today’s and tomorrow’s competitive world.
