Co-Lin awards degree through Complete 2 Compete initiative

Student graduateCo-Lin awarded LaTasha Hooker of Hazlehurst an associate’s degree through the Complete 2 Compete (C2C) program. Hooker is the first student from Co-Lin to receive her degree through C2C since the program’s launch in August.

Hooker is one of nearly 30 students who have returned to Co-Lin to finish their degree. She returned to Co-Lin after originally starting college in 2011.

“I am so excited to have finally received my associate’s degree,” said Hooker. “I’m now planning to continue on to receive my bachelor’s degree.”

C2C is designed to help Mississippi adults who have competed some college, but did not finish a degree, return to college and complete the remaining requirements necessary to earn their degree. Completing an application through the C2C website will allow interested candidates to determine how close they are to completing their degree.
