First generation students, students who meet federal income guidelines, and students who have a documented learning, physical and/or mental health disability.
Where is SOAR Office located?
The SOAR Office is located on the Co-Lin Natchez Campus in the Tom Reed Academic Building, Learning Center (across from Willie Mae Dunn Library)

We offer a variety of valuable seminars/presentations to assist students in achieving academic goals, developing useful class-related skills, and ensuring continued academic progress.
All SOAR participants may participate in the SOAR Club, which meets on the 1st and 3rd of each month, unless otherwise noted. The purpose of the club shall be to emphasize the attainment of leadership and social skills, as well as the creation of pathways that link education to career and life satisfaction. The club officers, SOAR Ambassadors, represent the club in both on and off campus activities and serve as student leaders in the program.
SOAR Grant Aid
The SOAR Grant Aid Award is a financial award available to SOAR participants who receive Pell grant, through a generous grant from the US Department of Education. The award amount may be no less than the minimum Pell award and no greater than the participant's cost of attendance.
SOAR Grant Aid is intended to:
• Improve participant retention by supplementing financial assistance for low-income participants with unmet financial need.
• Improve academic success by reducing the number of hours participants need to work.
• Provide incentives for participants to make timely progress in their degree program and successfully complete their coursework.
• Demonstrate support for participants who are actively using SOAR resources to facilitate their academic success.
Criteria to be eligible:
Parking can be challenging on the Wesson Campus, however, we do have adequate parking spaces. Click on the map below to see designated parking lots (in gray) for areas available. Remember, the earlier you arrive on campus, the better chance you have to park close to your buildings.
DO NOT park in handicapped parking spaces unless you have the appropriate decal and parking on the grass is prohibited. “Reserved/Staff” marked spaces are for faculty/staff only. You will be ticketed for illegal parking.

Medical services are provided for resident students on the Wesson Campus. The College has a school nurse and a school doctor available to assist students with health issues. The school nurse is available Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Resident students in need of health services should report to the Office of Student Services, located on the second floor of the Henley Building, to schedule an apoointmemnt. If a student needs assistance when Student Services is closed, he/she should contact their residence hall host or hostess.
