Dual Enrollment

High school students may earn college credit while they are still attending high school and enrolled in high school courses. The same regulations apply to Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Program students as to regular students.

Where Can Dual Enrollment/Credit Courses Be Taught?

· By Co-Lin at the Wesson campus, Natchez campus, or Simpson County Center
· At an approved dual enrollment/credit high school
· Online Co-Lin course

To be admitted to the Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Program, students must submit the following: 

 (1) A completed Copiah-Lincoln Community College application for admission.

 (2) A high school transcript which documents junior/senior status with minimum of 14 core high school unit. 

A 3.0 on 4.0 scale (Academic)

A 2.0 on 4.0 scale (Career-Tech)

Special admissions requirements for Home School students (see special admissions section of the catalog)

Students who have an ACT score of 30 or higher may be enrolled without completing fourteen units provided all other criteria are met.

 (3) A minimum subscore on the American College Test (ACT).

A minimum ACT subscore of 17 in English to enroll in English Composition I.

A minimum ACT subscore of 19 in math to enroll in College Algebra.

 (4) A recommendation form, provided by the college, from the high school principal and/or guidance counselor stating ACT subscore, number or core high school units completed, and GPA. A home-schooled student must have the form completed by a parent/teacher.

NOTE: Dual enrollment/dual credit programs in the Career-Technical area may have special entrance requirements.

December 13       Graduation; Mullen Gym; 9:30 a.m.

Veteran's Affairs

Veterans Affairs

Veterans are admitted on the same basis as other students.  Published calendars, policies and regulations apply to those students enrolled in non-accredited clock-hour courses in receipt of educational assistance from the Veterans Administration and to those students enrolled in academic programs unless otherwise specified.
