Alumni

Copiah-Lincoln Foundation / Alumni Association

For over 80 years, Co-Lin alumni and friends have given of themselves to advance many aspects of the college. Through scholarships, endowments and other giving, we contribute to the rich tradition, pride and excellence at Co-Lin.

The Co-Lin Band and Colette Alumni Chapter will host a reunion on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 1-2 p.m. in Rea Auditorium for those that participated in the Red Knight or Blue Wave Show Band during Stanley Stewart's 40 years as Band Director or Assistant Band Director. All former band, Colette and auxiliary members are invited to attend.

A collection of band t-shirts designed by Stanley Stewart will be on display in the Mutton art gallery (beside the library) during the month of October in conjunction with the Band and Colette Alumni Chapter's recognition of long-time band director Stanley Stewart upon his retirement. The gallery will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Oct. 20.

You may visit the reunion's Facebook event page, "Stanley Stewart Era-Co-Lin Band/Colette/Auxiliary Reunion" to let others know if you're attending, post memories and learn more about Homecoming as details are provided. To date, on the Facebook event page, 81 individuals have said they will attend.

The Band and Colette Alumni Chapter will hold its Hall of Fame induction ceremony and recognize its Outstanding Young Alumni recipient at 10 a.m. in the Fred and Jewett Taylor Chapel. Mary Little Peevey will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Dr. Sherry Chance Pippen will be recognized as the Stanley W. Stewart Outstanding Young Alum. The chapter will also hold its annual business meeting during that time.
