Admission Requirements

Follow these easy steps to become a student at Co-Lin. Candidates for enrollment in the freshman class must submit an application, official transcripts, and ACT scores in order to be considered for admission to the college. Admission to the college does not necessarily guarantee admission to a specific program. It is necessary to check the prerequisites for each program. Additionally, some specific classes have prerequisites or restrictive admission requirements.
1. An application on the official form furnished by the college.
* 2. An official transcript from an accredited high school indicating graduation date or receipt of an official transcript from the State Department of Education showing satisfactory scores on the General Education Development (GED) Test.
** 3. Scores on the American College Test (ACT). Applicants 25 years of age or older are exempt from the ACT requirement, except in certain technical programs.
4. A $50 room deposit if the student is to live on campus.
5. An official transcript from all previous colleges attended.
* Graduates of district high schools which are not fully accredited may be admitted on probation.

** All ACT score requirements in the catalog refer to the Enhanced ACT score.

Special admission requirements may apply for first time students, transfer students, foreign students, home schooled students and dual enrollment. See catalog for details.

 Career Program Admission Requirements

1. Application and transcript from last school attended must be on file in the Admissions Office.
2. Applicants who do not have a high school diploma or GED must make acceptable scores on the COMPASS test.
3. Applicants must be of legal working age (18) upon completion of program.
4. Applicants must meet specific requirements under the program description.
NOTE: Click Here to see specific requiremenets listed under the program descriptions.
