How DO I

Use my eBook Account?  Take a guided tour of NetLibrary

Find a book once I have the call number

The call number for each item in the online catalog is based on the Dewey Decimal System.  Most items will have a classification number (813.54) and an author number (PR936J) except online "e-books" which do not need the author number.  Classification numbers may vary at each library even for the same book.  The Wesson campus library uses FIC for fiction and the Natchez campus uses a number in literature.  The Reference Area and Mississippi Collections on the Wesson campus are located on the second floor of the library.

Checkout or renew a book

Students must present a current/valid Copiah-Lincoln Community College ID to checkout or renew items.  You may not checkout materials for another student or person.  Non-students ask at the circulation desk for local policies.  Circulation periods vary for types of materials.  Most books circulate for 14 days and can be renewed once.

Find an article from a magazine (Journals)

Both libraries subscribe to current print journals and journals on microfiche.  Backfiles of these journals can be obtained at the circulation desk.

Get materials from the other campus or another library

A request should be completed and turned in to the circulation desk to secure materials not in that library.  The request should include your name, student ID number, phone or e-mail address for contacting you when the material arrives, title of the book, author, call number, and library holding the book.  You will be notified when the book arrives.  Circulation will be determined by the lending library.
