How do I save files to my home directory?

Save the files to your w:\drive for Wesson personnel and students and h:\drive for Natchez personnel students.  Look in MyComputer or Explorer to locate this drive.  Also check out the tutorial section for visual examples.  Note:  Examples are using the w:\drive for Wesson personnel and students,  Natchez personnel and students use the h:\drive.  Students may only access home their home directories from lab computers.  Dorm access to home directories is not allowed due to licensing constraints.

Where can I find additional Clipart?

This is only available on the Wesson campus at this time.
V:\ Vol1 on Weswin07 has a folder called clipart.  You should have access to that folder which has categorized clipart.

Who is responsible for changes to the web page?

The web committee is responsible for the www.colin.edu website.  Contact JP McInnis for changes or additions.  Official web pages must maintain a consistent look and feel as determined by the web committee.  Your personal web space in your personal web folder is left up to your taste.  Make sure you sign up for Front Page classes to learn the latest about what I know about Front Page.  Front Page is our tool of choice for designing web pages.   Make sure you are familiar with the Acceptable Usage Policy.

What is Blackboard?

Blackboard is an online learning platform.  The actual server is located in our Smith Hall facilities.  Also, the MSVCC uses Blackboard to hosts the MSVCC online classes.  Our goal with this important tool is to provide faculty with an effective way to manage and enhance traditional classroom instruction.  You can post your class documents, make assignments, have interactive correspondence, and online assessment.

The Blackboard server URL is http://colin.blackboard.com

There is no "www" in the URL.  Several people have called to say they couldn't access the server.  They used "www."  Now you know the secret.

Blackboard accounts are automatically created and use the same username and password as the ACCESS and Webmail services.
