Paul is from Oakvale, Mississippi where he has lived all his life. He graduated from Prentiss Christian School. He attended Co-Lin where he majored in Art and is currently at the University of Southern Miss where he is a Graphic Communications major. While at Co-Lin Paul was an active member of the Art Student’s League and excelled in many studio courses including Art History, Drawing, Ceramics and Painting.
Paul really took a fancy to working
with the clay and discovered the joy of 3-D tactile projects. When he began
to develop a wolf design he knew he wanted to do more than just paint on his
form. The idea came from a play on words (much like Stacey’s idea) but
became a more literal interpretation of a theme.
Paul chose to use mixed medium on his wolf. Acrylic paint is combined with the soft fluffy texture of acrylic polyfil to give the effect of wool. His interpretation of this theme is simple and fun.
