Josh is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez. While attending school and living in Natchez Josh received many awards in art. In 1999 he was awarded 1st place in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation & Design contest as well as numerous other awards from the Mississippi Museum of Art, and The Pilot Art Club of Natchez. In the 14th Annual Mississippi Community and Junior College Student Art Competition Josh received two Honorable

Mention awards in drawing. Co-Lin awarded Josh a Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Freshman Art Major in April 2002.  The Art Student’s League has valued Josh’s efforts and work. He created the ASL t-shirt design for 2001-2002 and has worked diligently on the ASL Beautification Project – a mural decorating the entry into the Ceramic and Painting Studio.

Josh’s design is a collage of images of the southwest.  The head of the form draws you into the eyes of the wolf and as you move to discover the images covering the body you begin to interpret and appreciate the artist’s motivations.

Josh chose to use a palette of mixed media including acrylics, oils, watercolors, and colored pencils.
