David graduated from Brookhaven High School in 2000.  He enrolled at Co-Lin where, for the next two years, he excelled in the Art curriculum.  As an active member of the Art Student’s League he worked on many of the school projects and was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa.  David plans to continue his art education at the Memphis College of Art.

The design for this wolf is obviously a patriotic one.  David was moved to express an image that was close to his heart. The events of  9/11 affected everyone; he just wanted to create an image that was basic to the red, white, & blue.  David had an idea to put separate but unified images on opposite sides of the wolf, no matter which side you look at there is a vision of “glory!” If you look straight on at the face of the wolf the transition from the mountains to the flag is not only beautifully executed but emotionally moving.

The medium of expression David chose to use is acrylic coated with glossy polyurethane.
