General Expenses

All fees are payable at the time of registration. Students may be required to move from a dormitory or may be dropped from class if fees are not paid as agreed. The right is reserved to increase any expenses as necessary.

All dormitory students are required to purchase a 5-day meal plan.

*This meal plan is available only for commuters.

Part-time Mississippi resident students (students enrolled in less than 12 hours) are assessed fees of $105.00 per semester hour. Out-of-State part-time students are assessed fees of $180.00 per semester hour. The auditing fee is one-half of the regular registration fee per semester.

Textbooks: All students are expected to own a text for each course. The cost of books varies in different fields of study. It is estimated that new books will cost approximately $500.00 for the first semester and $300.00 the second semester, as some books are used both semesters. Many students buy used books and effect considerable savings. All hardbound textbooks which are in good condition and are on the adopted textbook list for the following year will be bought back from the students. Books may be sold back to the bookstore during exam week only.
