Welcome to the online repository for Blackboard Resources. Here you will find information and resources pertaining to the Course Management Software Blackboard. Currently, many of the resources are in Adobe Acrobat Format. Some of the resources below are hyperlinked to pages with additional workshop materials in .pdf, .doc, and .html. Animated Blackboard 6.0 Tutorials

  • Adding an Announcement
    Course announcements post timely information critical to course success.  This tutorial reviews adding, modifying, and removing announcements. It is the ideal place to post time-sensitive material. This Blackboard 6.0 New Feature allows you to link to items already in your course.
  • Create an Assignment
    Assignments can be created and added to a Content area. Assignments list the name, point value, and a description for class work. There is also an option to include Attachments to an Assignments. This Blackboard 6.0 New Feature allows students to complete an assignment in a separate file and send it back to the Instructor through the Course menu. This completed assignment can be accessed from the Grade book.
  • Modify Your Course Design
     This Blackboard 6.0 New Feature allows instructors complete control of the architecture through which students access course information. Not only can the course banner be modified, but buttons/labels can be designated.
  • Creating a Discussion Forum
    Forums are used to organize discussions on related topics. Students and Instructors click discussion links to access a forum from the main Discussion Board page. This Blackboard 6.0 New Feature automatically enters the assignment in the Grade Book.
