How do I take the GED test?

Copiah-Lincoln Community College offers GED testing at the Natchez Campus, Wesson Campus, and Simpson County Center for adults who are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance (unless otherwise waived) and who furnish an official statement of withdrawal from school.   GED preparation classes are not required to take the exam, although highly recommended.  The only students required to take GED classes before taking the exam are those students who are 16 or 17 years old and under the Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law.  Test applications and a listing of documents required for applicants is available by visiting the district GED office in Wesson. Re-testing is available.  Attendance at a GED orientation is required for all first time testers and re-testers.  Fees are payable at the time of orientation.   A GED scholarship policy is in place to encourage students with exceptional GED scores to enroll full-time at one of the CLCC locations.  A copy of the GED scholarship policy is available in the Director’s office.
