, Advisor (Natchez Campus)
The productivity,
comfort, and health of our nation are dependent upon the air conditioning,
heating and refrigeration fields. The units, which together
constitute an air conditioning, heating, or refrigeration system, no
matter how simple or complex, depend upon fundamental scientific
principles. It is the objective of this course to present these
basic principles, to develop correct work procedures, and to train in the
basic skills necessary for advancement in this field. Upon
satisfactory completion of this course, a student will be prepared to
secure employment with businesses which install or service air conditioning,
heating, or refrigeration systems and equipment or to become
self-employed.
Students
are eligible to receive the Associate in Applied Science degree or
Career-Technical certificate upon completion.
