RESOURCES - BOOKS Finding information in books located in the Library and borrowing books from other libraries The online catalog provides library patrons with access to the collections in each of the three Copiah-Lincoln Community College libraries as well as e-books available through NetLibrary. Patrons have access to nearly 80,000 books, 27,000 electronic books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials through the online catalog.
SELECT: LIBRARY CATALOG The following screen will appear: The Search Screen allows for patrons to select any one campus or all campuses as well as words/phrases, author, title, subject, series when searching for an item.
The Search Results screen will provide the patron with an initial listing of all items found during the search. A brief description of the materials found will appear on the listing. For complete details the patron must select “Details.” |

The material copy/type/location information is found at the very bottom of the full view and is important in locating the materials in each library. It is important that you have the call number for the book in each library. The same book could have different numbers in each library.
Borrowing Books from Natchez or Simpson County
Patrons should turn in a request to the library staff to obtain books from one of the other college libraries. The request should include the name and contact information of the person making the request; the author, title, call number, and campus location of the book. The request will be e-mailed to the campus. Materials should arrive each Friday.
Book From Other Libraries
Located on the bottom of the Library Opening Website page you will find a link to the Mississippi Academic Libraries. Library patrons can access the online catalogs of the other community and junior colleges as well as the university libraries in Mississippi. Copiah-Lincoln Community College maintains a mutual loan agreement with the other community and junior colleges. It also has agreements with Mississippi State University and the University of Southern Mississippi. The same procedures should be followed for borrowing materials from these libraries as for borrowing materials from the other Copiah-Lincoln libraries. Expect delivery times to vary but may be as long as two weeks. |
